Amazon Fire HD 10 (2021) Review
Amazon Fire HD 10 in 2021 has all the power you need for web surfing, multimedia streaming, and smart-home monitoring and is a pretty good choice for a basic tablet for it’s price. Nowadays, there aren’t many tablets in under $150 that can be considered good even as the basic for tablets. Amazon’s limited software selection prevents it from competing head-to-head with general-purpose tablets like Apple’s iPad, but if you don’t mind the Fire’s limitations, the latest model is really enjoyable. The Amazon Fire HD 10 is our absolute favorite and Editors’ Choice across the sub-$200 price tablets.
The purpose of the Fire tablets has always been to consume Amazon media. They began as the “Kindle Fire,” which was designed for reading color books and movies. The mission has extended significantly, but only little; you can play games and participate in Zoom calls on these tablets, but Amazon will lead you back to the films and books it intends you to buy. This year’s Fire lineup is perplexing, but they’re all centered on the Fire HD 10.
