Apple iPad 2020 Review
Eighth-generation Apple iPad is a quick and dependable remote-learning tablet for a time when most education is done at home. It’s the least price iPad Apple offers, starting at $329 (or $309 for students), and it’s way ahead of almost any device at this price. While the sole change between this and the seventh-generation iPad is a faster processor, the increase in power makes the low price Apple iPad a good investment for the next four years and an Editors’ Choice, even if it is becoming a little old. To a large extent, Apple is just bound by pricing.
So far, I haven’t seen 120Hz or OLED tablet panels at prices anywhere close to the $309 that Apple expects to charge for this tablet, which will be sold to millions of students. With that pricing in mind, the iPad competes with normally 1080p, LCD Chromebooks, and the screen works admirably in that perspective.

The above-mentioned price is for a 32GB iPad. That’s fine if you’re only going to use the tablet for cloud – based services like Google Classroom. If you intend to play a lot of games or take videos, you should upgrade to the 128GB variant for an extra $100. It’s an extra $130 if you want mobile network to connect to the internet when Wi-Fi isn’t accessible (plus an additional cost with your cellular service provider).
