Asus VivoBook Flip 14 (2020) Review

The Asus VivoBook Flip 14 foldable laptop is an all-around competent AMD-powered device with a budget price range. The Ryzen 7 CPU in our prototype is the laptop’s strongest asset which even outperforms its competition. The quality of the Asus VivoBook Flip 14 is great while not raising the price tag too high albeit not as impressive as other rivals. It features helpful connectors, and the battery performance is around 10 hours. There are no big problems here, however the Flip falls short of the simply superior Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14. While the Asus outperforms the competition in terms of power, the keyboard surface has some flex, the battery doesn’t last as long, and it charges $100 more.

The outside structure and appearance of this notebook are very appealing. The frame is composed of plastic but that does not look cheap and weighs only 3.31 pounds. The finish is a nice black color with a dark-blue tint in some lights, it’s officially called “Bespoke Black.”
