Asus ZenBook Flip S Review
The Asus ZenBook Flip S ($1,512.74) is a multi-faceted 2-in-1 notebook. Physically, it’s a high-quality, ultraportable convertible with a stunning 4K OLED touch screen. Inside, it’s among the first laptops we’ve received with one of Intel’s new 11th Generation “Tiger Lake” mobile chips, as well as the first to bear Intel’s “Evo” trustmark. The design and feature set are solid (though we lament the lack of a headphone jack, albeit a dongle is available), and the overall performance is good. This laptop, however, comes up short of the two other “Tiger Lake” systems we’ve evaluated, including one with the identical CPU.
We didn’t notice any significant improvements in overall performance or integrated graphics, and because we know other designs have more potential, we had to shelve the ZenBook Flip S. If you’re less worried with power reserves, this is an appealing convertible at a reasonable price, however the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 remains our favorite option.
