HP Envy x360 13 (2020) Review
The HP Envy x360 13 (starting price of $679.99) is one of the first notebooks to include AMD’s newest fourth-generation Ryzen U-series microprocessor. It unites above-average system performance with a small, lightweight, and elegant design. It also comes with a handy automated webcam security filter, a high-quality display, and a comfy keyboard. The Envy x360 13 is also a great value when it comes to the price, paying $889.99 in our Ryzen 5-based test model with all of these capabilities and earning our Editors’ Choice award for best midrange 2-in-1 convertible laptop.
The HP Envy x360 13 is the company’s budget-ranged model, sitting below the premium Spectre series but above the entry-level Pavilion devices. The 13-inch Envy laptop is offered in either a standard compact casing or the x360 variant (13z-ay000), which we evaluated here. The latter incorporates a 360-degree hinge that allows it to be used as a traditional laptop, propped up as a pavilion or canvas, or folded flush with the screen for usage as a tablet.
