MSI Alpha 15 Review
AMD’s Ryzen and Radeon chips are famous in gaming laptops, but Team Red hasn’t done much in the gaming laptop sector. That changes with the MSI Alpha 15 (starts at the price of $899; tested at $999), which combines a quad-core Ryzen 7 3750H CPU and a 4GB Radeon RX 5500M GPU to compete with Intel-based machines containing Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1650, offering seamless and consistent 1080p gaming performance. Although it doesn’t dethrone the MSI GL65 9SC as our Editors’ Choice for budget gaming. The MSI Alpha 15 is a feature-rich middle ground between that laptop and the Acer Predator Helios 300, our favourite in the next (and also at higher price) performance class.
